Our Story is founded by Melanie Lynch, an award-winning Irish communicator, curator, and social innovator with almost 20 years experience in the culture, education, advertising, and non-profit sectors.
A dreamer who delivers, Melanie has a track record of producing world class communications and pioneering programmes that open hearts and minds, resulting in lasting social change. She was celebrated in the Government of Ireland’s 21 Standout Women on International Women’s Day 2025.
Melanie started her career working on iconic global brands (Google, Audi, Adidas, Samsung, Eurosport, Barnardo’s) and NGOs at the world's most award-winning advertising agencies in London and Paris.
From grassroots community engagement to platforming causes on the world stage, her work has been showcased at the United Nations, Council of Europe, US Congress, Brazil Congress, Irish Parliament, President of Ireland’s residence, IMMA, and Irish Embassies. Media features include the Los Angeles Times, FORBES, Washington Post, CNN, BBC, The Guardian, and all Irish media.
Now Melanie is offering her skills and expertise to companies and organisations who are on a mission to increase impact and solve the world’s most pressing problems.

A DREAMER WHO DELIVERS
Sparked by the discovery that there are over one thousand inspirational women featured in the Dictionary of Irish Biography - a stark contrast to the handful of women on the school curriculum - in 2016 Melanie founded Herstory to create the change she wanted to see in the world. Herstory is a multi-disciplinary storytelling platform that illuminates and celebrates female role-models.
Melanie spearheaded Herstory on RTÉ -the first comprehensive women’s storytelling platform on Ireland’s national broadcaster; Blazing a Trail - the first women’s exhibition to tour the Irish Embassy network worldwide; and the campaign to make Brigid’s Day Ireland’s first national holiday named after a woman. This campaign generated 947,822,000 impressions and €1.4 million earned PR value, making news headlines worldwide.
